Listen to the Senators
Senators were really powerful and commanded the Roman Army. They were very high in rank, higher than all the magistrates in the government. They kept their position as a senator for the rest of their life. Senators literally had power over the whole of Roman society and were not only capable of commanding the Roman Army, but also all the citizens of Rome. If a senator told you to do something you were immediately forced to do it, if you didn't listen to him, he would not hesitate to kill you.
